Fault symptoms
Engine cuts without warning or fails to start, fault can be intermittent or constant.
Cause:
very poor quality components used in the manufacture of the ECU (made by Mitsubishi) these components eventualy fail from normal engine running conditions, one of the most sensitive ECU ever made and fail in very high numbers.
Solution:
ECU needs to be removed and sent in for remanufacture, the longer this type of ECU is left with the fault the more likely complete distruction of the ECU internals.
